JKJ and SAD admitted

Congratulations to Jacqui Janczukowicz and Shaynee Dennis who today were admitted as lawyers of the ACT Supreme Court today.

Shaynee has been a paralegal with us since 2012 and Jacqui since 2016. Both have balanced their studies with full-time work and today their efforts have been realised with their admission as lawyers of the ACT Supreme Court.

It was a seven-year slog for Jacqui and she said finding a balance between work, study and a social life was important.

“It was a challenge but I always made time to be active, which was great therapy for me,” she said. After three years working in personal injury, Jacqui is looking forward to moving into a solicitor’s role.

“It’s nice helping people.”

Shaynee studied and worked full time for five years leading up to today, which involved a lot of lunch hours spent studying and weekends doing intensive coursework.

“Studying and working full time is not for the faint-hearted,” she said. “It helps to have a supportive and flexible workplace.

“After five years of study there’s still a lot of work to do but I am excited for the future.”

Jacqui and Shaynee are already well known to our clients for their hard work and determination and we wish them all the best for their futures.
